Barelang Bridge
Today is a christmas holiday, and instead of just going to the mall, I’m taking my chidren and our maid to the Barelang Bridge. Barelang Bridge is an icon of Batam Island, it connects Batam Island to the other islands on the south of Batam. If you want to go to Galang Island and see the vietnamese refugees camp (boat people), you must go through Barelang Bridge.
The view from the bridge is beautiful, you can see some fishermen, small islands, the sea, the pelicans. And feel the wind breezed on your face. Very calming. The children seemed to enjoy it as well and started with their never ending quetions. This is not even their first time standing on the bridge.

Anyway – I’ve passed that bridge awhile ago and you’re right..the view is beautiful from there.
